LeadCap is a movement to empower every individual, helping them to make the leadership decision. LeadCap believes that this would soon help more Indians to embrace leadership mantle, in small and big ways, in personal and professional spheres, transforming the world's largest democracy to the first leadership democracy.

1. Teaching how to fish is better than providing fish: Helping marginalized individuals discover their true potential would help them more in the longer term than any other aid. This way they would help themselves, as well as the society.
2. Leadership is a decision, not a position: Individuals who emerged as some of the greatest leaders had nothing extraordinary about them. Anyone could be a leader irrespective or birth or living conditions, if willing to decide.
3. Leaders breed more leaders: More individuals would embrace the leadership mantle, if they are made aware that leadership is a decision. Hence, true leaders are those who nurture more leaders, not followers.

1. Decision step: Empowerment of potential leaders through creation of self-awareness - that leadership is not reserved for a select few, but for everyone who wants to discover their true potential; that leadership is a personal decision, rather than a position or a set of skills. We drive this primarily through two steps (1) Encouraging individuals to take the Million-Leader-Mandate pledge, so that they are breaking the initial inertia and are committed to the cause of leadership and (2) Online LeadLab sessions, conducted every Saturday 10am IST, taken by international experts, motivating, inspiring and provoking individuals to take the decision to lead.


2. Enabler step: We believe that every individual is blessed with leadership skills. In the second step, we mentor our potential leaders to help them discover their hidden skills Ð in the areas of communication, self-motivation, problem solving, decision making etc. We do this primarily through our online LeadLab sessions, conducted every Saturday 10am IST, taken by international experts, delving in to specific topics, experiences and lessons that can equip future leaders.


3. Action step: We believe that most of us play leadership roles in our everyday lives Ð even as we gather followers for us in online communities or as we voice out our opinions in discussion forums. However, most of the times, we do these passively, not paying attention to the leadership lessons, and hence fail to get to the next level. In the third step, we encourage potential leaders to conceptualize online and offline communities, gain followers and actively lead them to positive actionÐ by keeping their eyes and ears open to learn from every nuance and every experience. Further, we push them, to take their experiences to the next level.
