Anil Emage meets another Living Library promoter~Laila Reports
It was indeed a once in a lifetime meeting for Anil Emage.For him it was as important as meeting Sangeeth.Right in front of him was standing a lady who has been promoting Living Library way of communication and education almost at the same time he started Living Library movement in India wayback in 2005.
Meet our Kasthoori Bhai teacher, winner of Kerala State Award for teaching.A fantastic teacher , she is the head mistress of Kuppadi school and a fine lover of children and a voracious reader.She is a member of a “Vayanakkoottam” which means a reading group.My friend Vinayan is a member of the group and he directed us to teacher saying she is the right person to meet.
- He called her to fix an appointmentShe followed us word byword, vision by vision.When Vinayan called Kasthuri Teacher this was the first question she raised:
“Meeting them will benifit my children in any way?”
- We visited her house.It was pretty cool rain outside.2 hours we spent with her.Her daughter too joined us later.she is in the animation field.She asked her whether we could goide her 7 year old child.Of course we were very happy to oblige.
Our teacher teaches the children in the Living Library way.She encourages the children to be creative, nudges them to take responsibilities and she invited us to teach the children in her school.
I can see Anil`s vision slowly coming out.He wants to travel around and be an outdoor trainer in Calicut and Wayanad .
- One thing is for sure.Our programme will be a grand success.No doubt about it.We shall make it in such a way that it shall become a world news as Anne Frank birthday we celebrated was carried by PTI and Reuters.We shall make it BIG.Very BIG
