In my school days I used to wonder why people celebrated New Year. Whenever New Year comes, I will think that even a December 31 or a July 20 of 2000 is a new year when you count days from December 31st or July 20th of 1999. Then I will think, not even days, every second of every minute of every day is like that. It’s true that we call every New Year with a new number. Still we will get same 365 days a year (not for leap year) and 24 hours per day. So what is making a so called year a New Year?

Hope!

Yes, a hope that the coming year will bring peace and harmony in the world, a hope that the world will be a better place to live and so on…

But who is making the difference between an Old Year and a New Year? You know the answer. It is indeed you and me and every human in the world. You can make every day a new year just deciding to make it a better day. Decide to lead and find solutions for the problems faced by your society, your nation, and the whole world. And surely implement it. There are thousands and lakhs of people around the globe who want to make the world a better place to live and die. Come together. Express your thoughts. Don’t wait for a New Year to start new things, make every day a new year. Carry the hope with you every day.
